Yellow-faced Whip Snake

Found this snake in the same area as I found the one chasing the frog last week. The Yellow-faced Whip Snake is wide spread through Australia, is found in open grass and woodland. It is active during the day, feeding on lizards. It's potentually dangerous, especially to children.

excellent shot Ben! I think I saw one of these guys a few weeks back - it moved a little fast to ID properly, but it didn't seem to be a small brown. probably a Whip snake. cheers :)

Hi Ben,
Thanks to your great photo we have identified the snake in our yard as a "Yellow-faced Whip Snake" as well. We had taken a photo (no where near as good as yours though!) just for proof and to find out what it was.
Great work!
