Have you spotted it yet? The Dry Leaf Grasshopper (Goniaea australasiae) is also known as the Dead Leaf or Gum Leaf Grasshopper. It usually rests on the ground among the dead, dry leaf litter, where it blends in well. It feeds on both dry and fresh gum leaves.
